Ellie and Bellie

Anyone who knows Janie probably knows all about her "Ellie." Ellie is a little elephant blanket that Megan gave to Janie when she was born. Janie loved it, took it everywhere and eventually the kids named it "Ellie."

When I was pregnant with Chloe I took Janie to the store and told her she could pick out something for our new baby. She quickly found a little bear blanket and told me that this was going to be Chloe's "Ellie."

Well lately Chloe has started grabbing any blanket or burp rag that's within her reach, so of course Janie has to make sure that she always has her little bear blanket. Which has now affectionately been named "Bellie"

Let's Hear it for the Red, White, and BLURRY?

Well last Thursday our little Meg had her Patriotic Program at School. She was so excited she was finally going to be in a program. A little background on how our school does programs, uh-they don't do very many. You get to do a program in First Grade and another in Fourth Grade. So you can imagine her excitement AND to add to it she even had a speaking part!! (There were only a handful of speaking parts). This is all she's talked about for weeks. She saw Logan and Maddie both do their programs and it was finally her moment to shine! Well Jared and I got there, we had a perfect seat right up front with a perfect view of Meg. The program starts, I turn on the camera to start snapping pictures and recording and that is when. . . . . our camera decided to become a blur and never work again. We tried the entire program to fix it, but to no avail.

And all the time our sweet little Megan is singing her heart out, smiling the smile that only she could smile, knowing that her mom is recording it all. So I did what any mother would do, I totally pretended to be getting it all and taking fake pictures. Which turned out great because the audio is perfect, so at least we can hear her singing.

This is Megan's part. She says "Thank you for coming to our program, we hope you enjoyed it."

After school Megan came home and wanted me to show her all the pictures and video of her program. I told her that something had happened to the camera and that I was sorry. She looked at the pictures and the video and said, "That's okay mom. But you know you can't really see me, right?

Our Weekend Visitors!

Hi everybody. I'm finally writing again. I had a few glitches to work out on my blog, but hopefully I worked out all the kinks!
(I also had to finish up The Twilight Series. I tried holding off on Books 2 and 3 for when I had more spare time, but who was I kidding--they had to be read!)
We had a great weekend!! My brother Shane, his wife (and my good friend) Angie, and their 3 darling girls, Natalie, Gracie, and Evie came to see us for the weekend!! They are spending the week in Disneyland. They decided to change their flight for a day earlier, rent a car and drive an extra 2 1/2 hours just to see us. We sure do feel special that they would do all that just for us!



We spent Saturday night swimming and going out to dinner. And on Sunday I enjoyed actually staying and hearing our sacrament meeting (thanks to Shane who took crying Chloe out for me). After church, Jared and I had a nice visit with Shane and Ang while the kids played outside. It was so fun visiting and of course the kids love hanging out with their cousins.


I have to say that after living here for almost 8 years I still have to hold back the tears whenever family is driving away. Thanks for a fabulous visit Sullivan Family!!

Janie's Birthday

Just a few pictures of our new 3 year old! I can't believe she is that old already. She was so excited to ride her bike in the house, too bad our house is so tiny-she didn't have a whole lot of room to roam.

Well after a long debate (just with myself of course), I've decided to conform and officially become a blogger. How often I'll get to it or how much I'll write has yet to be determined.
